2D illus­tra­tions and con­cept art

Hi there! My name is Erich and i have been work­ing as a free­lance illus­tra­tor and con­cept artist for about 8 years. Dur­ing that time i did a lot of 2D illus­tra­tions for prod­ucts like Leg­ends Of Nor­rath / Star Wars Galax­ies (Sony Online Enter­tain­ment), Leg­end Of The Five Rings / Thun­der­stone (Alderac Enter­tain­ment Group) and many other clients.

For the last few months i was div­ing into the over­whelm­ing world of 3D, which is quite a bit dif­fer­ent than my usual 2D illus­tra­tions, though the basic prin­ci­ples of design apply here as well. At first it was not that easy for me to over­come all the hur­dles. But at the moment things are devel­op­ing pretty well. Thanks to Lux­ol­o­gys Modo 601 i will be fin­ish­ing my first poser model soon.

Near future plans

For now, this is a plat­form to present my 2D illus­tra­tions. You will find all the illus­tra­tions, the trad­ing cards, sketches and stud­ies under the Port­fo­lio link in the header menu of this site. Just hover over it to see the dif­fer­ent galleries.

For the near future, i am going to add a sec­tion con­tain­ing 3D mod­els for the Daz3d / Poser com­mu­nity and an area for tuto­ri­als (2D and 3D). My focus right now is on com­plet­ing my first 3D model for the Daz-Store, so the tuto­ri­als will take some time. But i remem­ber when i started out with paint­ing and draw­ing and all those ques­tions that arose around then, many of which were not answered in the so-called basic tuto­ri­als. There­fore i will start with really basic stuff when i find the time for cre­at­ing the first tuto­r­ial. So stay connected.
